Accessibility

UMOnline provides accessibility support to students, faculty, staff and administrators who are working in Moodle, the University’s learning management system.

Students who encounter problems or barriers using this system are encouraged to contact UMOnline.

Administrators, faculty and staff are invited to work one-on-one with accessibility specialists in the Innovation Studio (Todd 211) or attend IT Short Courses that are offered by UMOnline on a variety of topics (‘Creating Accessible PDFs,’ ‘Designing an Accessible Online Course,’ etc.) Workshops tailored to meet the needs of individual departments can also be developed on request.

An online tutorial, Designing an Accessible Online Course, is available for all members of the campus community. This tutorial provides information and demonstrations in five areas:

  • Universal design
  • Moodle content
  • Application-based resources
  • Multimedia
  • Social media

Visit this tutorial or contact Marlene Zentz (406-243-6434, marlene.zentz@umontana.edu) for more information regarding UMOnline accessibility support,.
