Online Course Development

The University of Montana is interested in supplementing our curriculum with quality online courses to:

  • reach students that we would otherwise not be able to reach,
  • provide opportunities for professional development and further education to people living and working in Montana’s rural communities,
  • allow current students to take courses in a more flexible manner,
  • give our faculty additional opportunities to explore new teaching strategies and use technology.

Developing and teaching an online course may require you to learn some new skills. You should be ready for a time commitment and a learning experience! Teaching online offers a variety of advantages and challenges. We think you'll find both rewarding.

If you would be interested in designing an online course, we'd love to hear from you. We're particularly interested in enlarging our offering of general education courses and courses leading toward full online degrees. To learn more, please contact Keith Lynip at keith.lynip@umontana or 406.243.6317.
